The business capital of the nation is host to an impressive range of watering holes in every aspect imaginable. Rooftop places such as Aer in Worli and Dome in Nariman Point offer a taste of luxury and exclusivity. Then there are pubs with fresh brews such as Doolally in Bandra and White Owl in Parel which have a host of flavors to make sure everyone has a blend to their liking. Janata Lunch Home in Bandra is something else entirely with round the clock (almost) flocking of customers owing to its economical pricing and ease of access. Toto’s Garage in Bandra is also a must-visit place in Mumbai with a life of its own. Also present in Mumbai’s bar scenario are names like the Hard Rock Café, Hoppipola, Harry’s, and Geoffrey’s.

My favorite places are mostly around South Mumbai where my offices used to be. I am leaving out the pubs in Colaba here because they demand their own special mention (and all of them are great anywa).

The best place I loved to unwind in was the Eau Bar at the Oberoi Trident which has possibly the most relaxed unbeatable setting I have seen - one of the most fabulous views.  The bartenders also know how to mix drinks real well, and if you can gently coax them, they will talk about the night when the attacks happened and how they managed to evacuate all their customers to safety.  It’s worth the premium.

Next to this is the NCPA which also has a fabulous bar (usually fully reserved) but I loved the staff there as they can really mix it up well and take care of your needs and get a near perfect cocktail each time.  I also love their menu which offered a good variety of western options to go with the drinks.

I love the Dome bar at the InterContinental hotel on Marine Drive where if you go early you can get a good place to watch the sunset and chill out. The warmth and mugginess of the sea is removed by a sea breeze that gets cooler as the evening progresses.  Worth spending a good evening to either chill down or celebrate. More than the food and drinks, it’s the view and the sea-breeze which makes the place enjoyable.

Another favorite is the Wink bar which has some unbeatable snacks is at the President (Taj Vivanta) in Colaba.  Among the first ones to experiment with Indian flavors (like Rasam from their neighboring restaurant) but the finger foods are also a winner with some good special ones like vegetarian sushi etc.

Mumbai is the hotbed for a rags-to-riches story, and you can imagine some extraordinary things happening with you. Bombay has always been a city to talk about. One of the best things about Bombay is its night life. As it is too awesome, here are some top bars which will ensure you have the time of your life in Mumbai:

  1. Toto's Garage: If you are a whisky lover and want to make your weekend special, then this is the place for you to be at. You can enjoy the DJ playing in a Maruti van, and a traffic jam of hubcaps, number plates and bonnets jutting out from its brick walls. It is the unique décor of the bar that makes your evening worthy and enjoyable. This bar is open from 6.30pm to 12.30am and is a great place to spend your weekend at!
  2. Aer: This is anotherfamous bar in the city of dreams which is highly sought after for itsfor its ambiance and crazy, fun-loving crowd. The midnight parties and cocktails at sunset at Aer are a popular treat for the visitors. This bar is open from 5.30 pm and goes on to function until 3am in the morning! Talk about partying all night!

When it comes to the cocktail, we look no further.
It will be “The white owl” it is.
The best place in Mumbai for whisky lovers and cocktails.
They even brew their own beers.
It would be our favorite hangout place.
Because those who are looking for something new in as simple as beer,
This place would surprise you more than anything.
The menu contains large verity for food lover as well as thirsty drinkers
It has looks, food has taste and drinks have out of the world feel.
What else anyone needs?

This jungle-themed bar is something like no other. I am a big fan of their cocktails.

Other good bars worth a visit are – Olive Bar & Kitchen, Kala Ghoda, Harbour Bar, Toto’s Garage, Geoffrey’s, Masala Bar, and Escobar

Doesn’t matter whether you want to enjoy the lovely breeze from the Arabian sea or simply be blown away by the city lights, the bars of Mumbai have got something for everybody!

I personally love spending time at Escobar-Tapas Bar. Clearly one of the most happening places in the city to spend your Saturday nights at, Escobar also boasts of having the longest bars in India!

The second on my list has got to be AER! With an unbeatable view of the historic Worli, this 34th floor jazzy bar is literally the whole roof of the four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. With the city’s best cocktails served with the finest of accompaniments in food and ambience, AER definitely is a must-visit.
Bonobo on Linking Road is also a place I like to frequent a lot! With bouncy live music by India’s best Dj’s, a chill bar, and a fusion menu, this open-air place is undoubtedly your best bet to dance your night away! Bonobo also hosts some real fun theme nights.

Toto’s Garage is another awesome place to enjoy some fine drinks and good rock music together! Thanks to its unique motor and hubcap décor, this place is definitely going to stay in your memory for long!

Also to try at least once- The Blue Frog

Even though I don’t stay in Mumbai, but I keep visiting the city to visit my siblings who stay there. Mumbai has some great places to hangout too. “AER in Four Seasons Hotel” is my best bet. “Toto's Garage” follows close second. Few others are as below;

  • Wink, Vivanta by Taj - President, 90, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400005
  • Green Restaurant & Bar, #223, Shivnath Building, Shivaji Park, Ranade Road Extension, Dadar West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400028

We are talking about the city that never sleeps and this it would be easy to understand that Mumbai has the best night life in the country. Here are a few picks to choose from:

AER: Open Air roof-top bar at the four seasons hotel. The place is super calm at 33rd floor and is frequented by celebrities for the same reason.

Toto’s Garage: Feeling retro? Try one of the best retro bars in Mumbai with brilliant food and a very nice retro playlist always in the background.

Woodhouse Inn: You would simply love this place. This place has some of the best bartenders in Mumbai, and they serve you with brilliant cocktails hard to find otherwise in Mumbai. Cheers!

    Geoffrey’s

South Bombay folk know this place and frequent it for a simple reason, it attracts people of literally all age groups, and this place doesn’t feel dominated by a specific age group, leading to a peaceful time for all. The place is cozy, has a nice English pub feeling to it and normally plays retro music. Their food is special.

    Asilo

The place is not always crowded, and in Bombay, that’s true luxury considering this is a brilliant place with such splendid view of the Arabian Sea. Located at a height that is 40 floors high, Asilo is always exposed to a nice sea breeze, and it is strongly suggested to visit the place before sunset for a spectacular evening with your date.

    The Bar Stock Exchange

It would be a crime to not write about this place. Their interiors can be confusing as they have mixed in many themes but considering its location in Andheri, the place is flooded with a brilliant crowd all the time, and their food options are pretty amazing too. On weekends, the place allows only couples, and that is something to watch out for.

AER: One of the best places to go to for a view in an otherwise crowded Mumbai city. The music
is great but never too loud, something that kills the joy of drinking. The hospitality of Four
    Seasons’ staff would show itself.
Toto’s Garage: Toto’s is a retro themed bar which constantly plays classic rock anthems and has
a very lively feel to it. The bar has character even when it gets crowded and the best part it, it will
    never be very expensive.
Harbour Bar: Most people won’t tell you about this place, because well, many actually don’t know
about this legendary place. When in Mumbai, you have got to visit the iconic Taj Mahal Palace
Hotel and the best part here is the salesman ship which can be off putting otherwise. Go ahead
and order ‘From the harbor since 1933’ and hear the bartender recounting the story behind it.
    Thing of legends, literally!

Geoffrey’s: When in south Mumbai, visit Geoffrey’s, a pretty cool English themed place that

becomes alive after 10 in the night. The place attracts a nice mix of old and young crowd,

and their food is highly rated among all bars and pubs in Mumbai. Visit this place for the old

world Brit charm alone, and you’d not be disappointed.

Bonobo: Bonobo is in Bandra, and because it is not easily visible from the main road, it’s a

brilliant place to go to even on a Saturday. Even on the weekend, it is not crazy crowded like

the other hangout places in Mumbai. Add to that good food and friendly service and choose

to sit in the open space for a memorable evening.

Monkey Bar: The place feels welcoming right at the entrance, and the ambiance of this place

would definitely appeal to you. They have a mean Crab Rangoon in the starters section and

their laal maas phulkas with butterfly chicken is a must try too.

They also have an open space open to smoking.
