At 52% ABV, the Glenmorangie Pride 1974 is the third and oldest to release from the Glenmorangie Pride series. The classic ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks lend it a fine blend, creamy texture with a tinge of vanilla and pepper. Priced at about £7,200, it is limited to 503 crystal decanters from specialist whisky retailers.
The sophisticated French distillation process combined with oak cask ageing lends this whisky a unique, silkiness, and rich, stunning color.
Glenmorangie Pride 1974 originated in the Scottish Highlands, at the Glenmorangie Distillery. This distillery was established in 1843 and is owned by the Glenmorangie Company Ltd. Their signature line of products includes Glenmorangie Milsean, Glenmorangie Signet, Glenmorangie Pride 1978, Pride 1981, and, the oldest single malt, Pride 1974.

A few drops of water release complex vapors, reminiscent of gentle blood orange, gingersnap biscuits, and yeast flour giving way to notes of baked bread, warm brioche, and cedar wood.
Crispy and slightly fragrant with vanilla sweetness from ex-bourbon casks.
Long and soothing finish with pecan nuts, leather, dark chocolate fudge and café latte that lingers on.
A contrast of sweetness from baked apples, oranges, honey complemented by menthol, toffee, molasses, double cream, ginger root, clove and aniseed.
A medium and smooth body offer an easy drinking experience.
