Drambuie’s secret recipe is known only to a few who work in the company. The addition of cloves and saffron give the drink an edge as well as a rich golden color. It also imbues it with medicinal properties. The Scotch whisky base is formed using just the right blend of grain and an accurate selection of the finest Speyside and Highland malt whiskies. The exquisite taste comes from the meticulous production process which has stuck to centuries-old tradition. The drink has 40% ABV and is favored neat or over ice.
This special bottling of Drambuie with around 40% of its base whisky being malt was launched in 1999. Since 2004, the range has been discontinued, and was replaced by The Royal Legacy of 1745.
